activated portable emergency light (if connected direct with a 12V battery without transformer) and also for many other purposes.
The circuit is build around a 555 timer IC. A 2N6122 transistor is working as a switch. A 110 or 230V primary to 9V secondary 1A step down transformer is used for powering the circuit. You can also add 3 to 4 more 1 watt LEDs in parallel with a 27 ohms resistor with each LED but also make sure to use a higher current ratings transformer like 2 or 3 ampere with a 5 ampere diode bridge. You can also operate the circuit with a 12 volt battery. The circuit for 12V battery is shown in figure 2.
