There are many led sequencer circuits are available which uses integrated circuits. But the circuit shown here is simple and can be built using discrete parts. The good part of this circuit is that it is versatile and you can easily increase the number of LEDs with transistors in same manner
as we have connected them. The circuit can also be operated with 6, 9 or 12V DC but it is essential to use a current limiting resistor in series with all LEDs if you are operating it with more than 3V.
The circuit is using 3 BC239 transistors, other equivalents of BC239 will also work here but you have to check them by experimenting in the circuit which number is working well.
