If you want to control the brightness of few LEDs then this simple dimmer circuit will do the job. The circuit is using 1K ohms potentiometer of 1or 2 watt to control the light or brightness of LEDs. The circuit is also using three super bright white LEDs, I have used 0.5 watt LEDs for more light.

The 56 Ohms 1 watt resistor is working as a current limiter and also protects the LEDs from over current when the potentiometer will be on zero resistance. The circuit can be operated from 9 to 12 volt DC. You can also operate the circuit with your car battery. This simple LED dimmer circuit can also be used as a mini dimmable LED night light / lamp and also as a 12V LED lamp when you require a mini LED light with adjustable brightness.
