The heart of the circuit is a hall effect sensor. A hall effect sensor is a magnetic field sensor which provides an output voltage directly proportional to the magnetic field detected. It is manufactured in flat TO-92 package and in other surface mount package. Internally it is a complete package that contains a hall sensor, trigger circuit, regulated power supply, temperature stabilizer circuit in a single three terminal chip.

Working of the circuit is simple when the hall sensor used in the circuit detects a magnet filed then its output will become proportional to that magnetic field due to which the PNP transistor 2N4403 will become actuated and activate the relay. Hence any AC or DC appliance connected with the relay will be activated. The operating voltage of the circuit is 5V to 12V DC. Relay value should be according the operating voltage.
