This is a project of a flip flop / multivibrator relay using two transistors. The circuit will continuously on and off the two LEDs and 12V relays one by one. The simple circuit can be used to automatically on off or Flash any AC or DC appliance for example AC bulbs or hundreds of LEDs etc.
The project is actually a multivibrator circuit, a multivibrator circuit is a very famous electronic circuit that performs variety of tasks, and it is used in many electronic circuits.
This flip flop relay circuit is built around two 2N4401 NPN transistors, which are working as switches in the circuit. The resistor R2 and R3 control's the ON OFF speed of the LEDs and Relays. By decreasing the values of the R2 and R3 will further increase the ON OFF speed, and for decreasing this speed use higher values for R2 and R3. The Resistor R1 and R4 are the current limiting resistors for the LEDs. The 1N4007 diode with each relay is used to prevent the transistors from the back EMF of the relays.
The operating voltage of this ON OFF relay circuit is 9V to 12V DC. But you can also try voltages below 9V like 5 or 6V. Also make sure to use same voltage relays on the low voltages.
